Foster411 Training

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 4, 2026

Draft — pending legal review. This document is provided for transparency during Foster411 Training's early rollout and does not yet constitute final, counsel-approved policy.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Foster411 Training (“Foster411 Training,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use the training platform, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. Foster411 Training is a continuing-education platform for Georgia foster and kinship parents. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@foster411.com.

Information we collect

We collect the following personal information (PII), most of it entered by you or your agency when your account is created:

How we use your information

We use your information to:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your information

Access to your information is limited to:

Certification evidence images

Any certification-card image or PDF you upload is stored in a private storage bucket, under a path scoped to your account. These files are never publicly accessible. When you or an authorized viewer (your linked co-parent, your agency staff, or a Foster411 administrator) needs to view a file, the platform generates a short-lived signed URL that expires after a few minutes. In version 1, uploaded evidence files are immutable — a renewal uploads a new file rather than replacing the old one.

Data retention

We retain your training records and certificates for as long as your account is active and as needed to document your continuing-education history, since these records may be relevant to your agency and to state licensing over multiple training years. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal profile information and uploaded evidence files, and we either delete or de-identify associated training records except where we are required to retain certain records to meet legal, audit, or your agency's recordkeeping obligations.

How we protect your information

Access to records is enforced at the database level so that each person only sees the records they are permitted to see. Evidence files live in private storage reachable only through short-lived signed URLs. Administrative access is limited to the staff who need it to run the service.

Requesting access or deletion

You may request a copy of your information or ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@foster411.com from the email address on your account, or by asking your agency coordinator to relay the request. We will verify your identity before acting. Note that your agency may separately retain training records it is required to keep.

Children's privacy

Foster411 Training is intended for use by adult foster and kinship parents and agency staff. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information about the children in your care through this platform.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves and as it is reviewed by counsel. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
