These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Foster411 Training (the “Service”), a continuing-education platform for Georgia foster and kinship parents. By signing in and using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Accounts and invitations
You may create an account yourself, or be invited by a co-parent, an agency, or a Foster411 administrator. You must provide accurate information about yourself when registering. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. If you were given a temporary password, you should change it after your first sign-in. Tell your agency or support@foster411.com promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. Do not share your account or let anyone else sign in as you.
2. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Provide false information, including misrepresenting your identity or falsifying certification dates or training records.
- Attempt to access accounts, records, or agency data that do not belong to you or that you are not authorized to view.
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that contains malicious code.
- Copy, resell, or redistribute course content except as needed for your own training, or attempt to circumvent quiz or completion controls.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or probe the security of the Service or its infrastructure.
3. Continuing-education credit
Foster411 Training issues training records and certificates documenting the courses you complete and the continuing-education hours associated with them. Whether those hours are accepted toward your requirement is determined by your agency and the State of Georgia (including the Division of Family & Children Services), not by Foster411 Training. Hour requirements and the courses that qualify vary by agency. Foster411 Training does not guarantee that any particular course, or any number of hours, will be credited toward your licensing or renewal requirements. Confirm your requirements with your agency or coordinator.
4. Self-reported certifications
External certification dates (such as CPR, First Aid, and home inspections) are self-reported by you. Any evidence you upload is stored privately as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the dates and documents you enter.
5. Intellectual property
Course content, text, graphics, and the Foster411 Training software are owned by Foster411 or its licensors and are provided for your personal training use only. You retain ownership of the information and files you upload, and you grant Foster411 Training permission to store and process them to operate the Service.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service and its course content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Course content is educational and general in nature; it is not legal, medical, or professional advice, and it does not replace guidance from your agency, a physician, or a qualified professional. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foster411 and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. This includes any decision by an agency or the State to accept or reject continuing-education credit.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if your agency association ends, or as needed to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves and as it is reviewed by counsel. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
